Hello, and welcome to Soulagé Blooms! My name is Becky Loveless. There is a saying that the only thing constant in life is change. Having had struggled with recent changes in my life that were somewhat drastic and distressing, I stumbled upon finding a passion in doing something I had never done before. . . growing flowers.  

 

Soulagé in French means 'relieved', and as I spent time cultivating, learning about and simply just being around these uniquely beautiful creations of nature, I found a sense of relief I had not felt in a long time. The cool, soft dirt at my feet and tiny, hopeful seedlings in my hands offered me a judgement-free space to breathe, a space where I had permission to change and grow too, to just simply be whatever me I was that day. As these hope-filled seedlings bloomed, so did I. To this day, the flowers and I face our challenges and continue to grow together and become what we were each made to be. . .  uniquely beautiful.

 

At Soulagé Blooms, we want to offer, not just the flowers themselves, but the belief that flowers can help mark and hold space for the many different changes in our lives. They can provide relief from the discomfort of difficult change, they assist in celebrating the unmatched joy in welcome change, and can even inspire and remind us of the possibilities of positive change in ourselves and in the world around us.

At Soulagé Blooms we are implementing positive change for our environment by using a system called regenerative agriculture. Regenerative agriculture is the process of restoring degraded soils using practices based on ecological principles. We strive to work with nature rather than against it. At Soulagé Blooms we do not use synthetic fertilizers or pesticides, we limit use of plastics and do our best to help create a healthy ecosystem, and in turn, our flowers thrive amidst the buzzing beauty of nature's intention, and truly become their best selves.

 

As our passion for flower farming is rooted in themes of growing, healing and cultivating a connection with nature and change and all the many emotions that brings, we hope when you invite our flowers into your life, you will be reminded that yes, the only thing constant in life is change, and that it is ultimately beautiful. May you find relief, joy and inspiration in the constant changing seasons of life through the simple, powerful and unique beauty of our flowers..
